Sports Injury Analysis

Bespoke Injury Analysis From Your Personal Injury Coach

We help you truly understand your injury so you can return to sport and full health in the
shortest, safest time possible

It Starts With Understanding Your Injury

While impact and trauma-based sports injuries are often the most obvious, many injuries develop from underlying factors—muscular imbalances, tightness, poor flexibility, joint stiffness and reduced motor control. These are easy to overlook, yet they can have a significant impact on your performance and long-term health.

We understand that every individual’s lifestyle, history and situation is different. That’s why we never take a one-size-fits-all approach. Instead, we build a personalised, practical plan around you, designed to support your recovery, relieve pain and get you back to doing what you love.

Your Journey With Us

Your first visit begins with a warm welcome and a complimentary luxury drink, before we sit down together for a dedicated one-on-one initial assessment. This is where we take the time to understand your history, the mechanism of your injury, and how its biomechanical impact relates to your sport, lifestyle and goals.

From there, we carry out a full musculoskeletal assessment, allowing us to:

  • Pinpoint an accurate diagnosis
  • Reverse-engineer a plan from your goals backwards
  • Combine hands-on treatment with evidence-based care
  • Set realistic targets for a confident return to your “normal” activities—as pain-free, and as quickly, as safely possible

More Than Treatment—We Coach You

We believe education is at the heart of lasting recovery. Rather than simply treating you, we act as your Injury Coaches.

Our team will clearly explain our findings, the logic behind them and our rationale, so you always understand what’s happening and why. Alongside your advanced treatment, we provide a bespoke rehabilitation and conditioning programme that gives you the knowledge and tools to:

  • Manage loads intelligently and progress safely
  • Monitor pain and recognise when to push and when to hold back
  • Take ownership of your rehab between appointments
  • Reduce recovery times and lower the risk of future injury

This is where we specialise—blending movement biomechanics, injury diagnosis, and strength and conditioning into every stage of your rehabilitation and return to sport.

Rehab That Fits Around Your Life

We know everyone has different levels of lifestyle, sports training and family commitments. That’s why your rehabilitation and self-help strategies are designed around you, supported by our Physitrack app.

With Physitrack, your personalised rehab plan is available 24 hours a day, at your fingertips—accessible through email and phone, complete with full video and picture explanations. It also includes clear outcome measures, so you can track your progress every step of the way.

The Results

“After a hip injury stopped me in my tracks and Portuguese Physiotherapists couldn’t help I returned to my London running club ‘Thames Valley Harriers’ and they advised I see John. After the first visit, I understood the injury and what I needed to do in order to get running again. 2 sessions in and I’m moving and loading the hip pain-free (which I’ve not been able to do in months). I’m looking forward to progression and return to competition. These guys know running and movement! Absolutely amazing.”

Antonio SilvaInternational Elite Runner

“Worth every penny! After getting frustrated with Dr’s and other professionals I came to 8th Element. After only 4 sessions and a few months of a rehab and stability program, my shoulder issues are virtually non-existent. Next time I’ll just head straight there with any issues. I wish I’d gone sooner.”

Alix Brill

“After having extensive forms of treatments over the years from varied specialists, I can say without hesitation that John’s extensive knowledge, assessments and treatment plans are by far the most comprehensive and beneficial that I’ve ever experienced.”

Alan Blake

“After suffering a back strain I booked an appointment, and the session was thorough, professional and full of useful information to help me understand the problem, the actions I needed to take to heal and advice on what I should do to strengthen whilst adjusting my technique to avoid reinjury. A very helpful session. I now have a plan to get me training again.”

John Crompton

“Having had surgery on a torn biceps tendon the physio and rehab I received has helped me return to a high level of tennis within months. The level of knowledge shown by the team filled me with confidence and the results speak volumes. I will continue to use them throughout my career. Thoroughly recommend.”

Stephan Martin

“I suffered a ruptured Achilles and 8th Elements extensive knowledge and teamwork with SISU fitness, ensured that a creative, structured rehab plan was created and recovery managed. They were always there for me and my concerns and worries and cant thank them all for getting me back to 110%.”

Kieran Bunting

“I saw John with a case of a medial common flexor tendon tear, which had persisted for over 6 months and was stopping my training for an Iron Man. Previously I’d seen countless physios, osteos and Dr’s but none could fix the issue, however, Johns diligent multimodal approach to treatment and sports specific rehab has worked perfectly and I am now symptom-free after such a long time and am looking forward to returning to my triathlons and Iron Man training. I’d highly recommend to all.”

FAQ

What should I wear?

If you are unsure what clothing to choose for the consultation or follow up, we recommend something that makes the affected area easily accessible. For example, wear a skirt or shorts if you are discussing pains in your lower leg or foot.

Can you access my medical history?

We cannot access any of your previous medical history. In light of this, we encourage you to bring a list of any medication that you are currently taking or regularly prescribed.

Do you accept private medical insurance for Sports Injuries?

This all depends on your provider, for Podiatry and Osteopathy we accept all major insurances. However, in sports Injuries we can only accept a few depending on your policy and insurer, Why not pop us a call to discuss if we can use your insurer or not.

When do I need to pay?

We accept cash or card on the day of treatment, however, if you have created your own booking profile with us through our online booking portal, you can securely store your card on your profile, and we can charge your stored card automatically on completion of treatment, making each session a card/cash free appointment.
