Sports Injury Analysis

Exceptional injury analysis allowing reduced future injury and enhanced performance

Ensuring you understand your injury and are able to return to sport and health in the shortest possible time

Focusing on understanding the history and the mechanism of your injury

As well as the bigger more obvious Impact or trauma-based sports Injuries, injuries can severely affect performance due to imbalances, muscular tightness, poor flexibility, joint stiffness and poor motor control.

Understanding that each individuals lifestyle and situation are different is key, which is why we listen and implement a personalized practical approach to our system of supported recovery from pain relief through physiotherapy.

After greeting you with a complimentary luxury drink, we will sit down and have our one-on-one Initial assessment. This will focus on understanding your history of pain and the mechanism of injury and how the biomechanical impact your sport/lifestyle places on your body. This is followed by completing a full musculoskeletal assessment, allowing us to create a unique hands-on approach in our appointment to ensure a combination of evidence-based treatments and advice are implemented ensuring our effectiveness in assisting you in, achieving realistic goals in your return to ‘normal’ activities whilst achieving a pain-free lifestyle, in as short a time as possible.

We believe education is key, which is why our team will then explain our findings, logic and rationale and provide a range of advanced treatments whilst providing a unique rehabilitation and conditioning program, to ensure you have the understanding and the tools to help in pain management and rehab between any follow-up treatments, which is key to reducing recovery times.

Rest assured we understand everyone has different levels of lifestyle, sports training and family commitments, so our rehabilitation and ‘self-help’ coping strategies are designed on our advanced Physitrack app, with you in mind. This app ensures you have your rehab 24hrs a day at your fingertips through your email and phone, with full video and picture explanations and outcome measure for you to track your progress.

The Results

After a hip injury stopped me in my tracks and Portuguese Physiotherapists couldn’t help I returned to my London running club ‘Thames Valley Harriers’ and they advised I see John. After the first visit, I understood the injury and what I needed to do in order to get running again. 2 sessions in and I’m moving and loading the hip pain-free (which I’ve not been able to do in months). I’m looking forward to progression and return to competition. These guys know running and movement! Absolutely amazing.

Worth every penny! After getting frustrated with Dr’s and other professionals I came to 8th Element. After only 4 sessions and a few months of a rehab and stability program, my shoulder issues are virtually non-existent. Next time I’ll just head straight there with any issues. I wish I’d gone sooner.

After having extensive forms of treatments over the years from varied specialists, I can say without hesitation that John’s extensive knowledge, assessments and treatment plans are by far the most comprehensive and beneficial that I’ve ever experienced.

Alan Blake

After suffering a back strain I booked an appointment, and the session was thorough, professional and full of useful information to help me understand the problem, the actions I needed to take to heal and advice on what I should do to strengthen whilst adjusting my technique to avoid reinjury. A very helpful session. I now have a plan to get me training again.

John Crompton

Having had surgery on a torn biceps tendon the physio and rehab I received has helped me return to a high level of tennis within months. The level of knowledge shown by the team filled me with confidence and the results speak volumes. I will continue to use them throughout my career. Thoroughly recommend.

Stephan Martin

I suffered a ruptured Achilles and 8th Elements extensive knowledge and teamwork with SISU fitness, ensured that a creative, structured rehab plan was created and recovery managed. They were always there for me and my concerns and worries and cant thank them all for getting me back to 110%.

I saw John with a case of a medial common flexor tendon tear, which had persisted for over 6 months and was stopping my training for an Iron Man. Previously I’d seen countless physios, osteos and Dr’s but none could fix the issue, however, Johns diligent multimodal approach to treatment and sports specific rehab has worked perfectly and I am now symptom-free after such a long time and am looking forward to returning to my triathlons and Iron Man training. I’d highly recommend to all.

FAQ

What should I wear?

If you are unsure what clothing to choose for the consultation or follow up, we recommend something that makes the affected area easily accessible. For example, wear a skirt or shorts if you are discussing pains in your lower leg or foot.

Can you access my medical history?

We cannot access any of your previous medical history. In light of this, we encourage you to bring a list of any medication that you are currently taking or regularly prescribed.

Do you accept private medical insurance for Sports Injuries?

This all depends on your provider, for Podiatry and Osteopathy we accept all major insurances. However, in sports Injuries we can only accept a few depending on your policy and insurer, Why not pop us a call to discuss if we can use your insurer or not.

When do I need to pay?

We accept cash or card on the day of treatment, however, if you have created your own booking profile with us through our online booking portal, you can securely store your card on your profile, and we can charge your stored card automatically on completion of treatment, making each session a card/cash free appointment.
