Jo loves aiding people to live their life to the full, whether that’s for the competitive or recreational athlete, avid gardener or family person.
Her passion lies in helping people reach their goals. After qualifying as a Physiotherapist from Brunel University in 2016, she volunteered as a Physiotherapist in a Health Clinic in Cape Town, South Africa. From this experience, she discovered her love for assessing, diagnosing and rehabilitating those with musculoskeletal injuries. On returning to the UK she started working as a Musculoskeletal Physiotherapist in GP surgeries and Sports Centres in and around Kent.
Jo has a particular skill set in taking a holistic approach to rehabilitation.
She spent a year in a split role as a Physiotherapist and a Functional assessor for The Centre of Health and Disability Assessments. This provided a wealth of insight into the impact of mental health upon physical health and vice versa. Since then, she has qualified as a Mindfulness teacher through Mindfulness UK and prides herself on ensuring people feel well listened to throughout.
She loves to create individualised physiotherapy sessions by combining her knowledge of injuries with skilled manual therapy, education, empowerment, and tailored exercises. She also enjoys sharing her expertise as a qualified Pilates instructor through the Australian Physiotherapy and Pilates Institute.
Alongside treating injuries, Jo has a keen interest in the often under-spoken areas of bladder and bowel incontinence and women’s health, which, can be just as limiting to sports and daily life. She is currently taking further training in these areas and is excited to bring this into her practice.
Outside of Physiotherapy, you can find her exploring new trails, outdoor swimming, running, heading to the beach, spending time with family and friends and detouring to tasteful coffee shops.
